A Train Ride full of Jews!

Alright, so the other day I had Passover in Westport, CT with my family. After 5 1/2 months of being in NYC I FINALLYYYYY went home! So, knowing that NYC can totally trap you into never having a chance to leave I decided to pack a ton of my things from home for my return back to the city. Well that meant a large purse and 2 HUGE duffle bags.

Meanwhile, my parents were both reminding me that I had bring my bags from Maine to CT and then from CT to NYC. I'm thinking NO BIG DEAL...I CAN DO THIS!!! All I reallyyyyy had to do was bring my bags from the train at Grand Central to the street where I would hail down a cab and then carry my bags up 4 floors. I figured I would take it slow and get it done.

Sooooo....I'm waiting for the train with my dad and my uncle and we are all looking at each other with a little bit of confusion. There were sooo many people for this train! It was a Monday night, why were so many people going into Manhattan. DUH? People went to CT, just like me, to visit family and celebrate Passover. Honestly, I have never been on a train with soo many people talking about their sedar.

The train arrives and my dad helps me get my bags into the cart. I sit down and for all of 10 minutes I feel settled and relaxed until a woman behind me taps me on the shoulder and "attempts" to whisper, "Go get your bags, we are going to have to get off this train. There is a suspicious bag on this cart." Well, of course EVERYONE over hears this woman saying this to me and the entire cart gets out of their seats and everyone starts to make a scene. I'm trying to get my bags that are clearly wayyyy too heavy and the attendants are trying to figure out what to do about the situation.

Well, of course after everyone starts questioning what is going on. We are told that there is in fact a suspicious bag and we had to get off at a random station. This poor woman was like ohhhhh goshhhh I should be a little quieter next time! Now the whole cart starts making fun of me....Are these huge bags the suspicious ones??? Now here I am explaining how I am stilll slowly moving my life to NYC! Well I met a nice guy who carried my bags to the next train which was great because honestly they were too heavy!

So we get on the next train and I am meeting this person and that person. Exchanging life stories and joking that the suspicious bag was obviouslyyyyyy some gross left over passover food that someone just didn't want anymore! HAHA! I finally made it to Grand Central! The same guy helped carry my bags to a cab. I thanked him and thought there really are some nice people in this world. Got a cab...the driver was nice...he brought my bags right to the door. The only hard part of the trip was carrying those bags up my walk-up but I guess it was my exercise for the day.

Nothing better than a fun train ride experience HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!
